Dodge has taken over the reins to become the first automobile manufacturer to produce high-performance electric muscle cars. After 60 years of manufacturing gas-powered muscle cars, Dodge has ceased building these classic vehicles and has moved to the electric vehicle platform. The first Dodge electric vehicle to reach the market is the 2024 Dodge Charger EV. Its look is reminiscent of the muscle cars of the ‘60s and ‘70s, and its performance is pure muscle.

The 2024 Dodge Charger EV, available in two trims, has swapped its old Hemi V8 for an electric 400V system. The technology used to produce this electronic system is very advanced – in other words, this is not the same electric system of the past. This electric muscle car has plenty of horsepower and torque, along with an extensive driving range. The Charger EV is one of the fastest electric cars.
The Dodge Charger EV is equipped with dual 400-volt (335-horsepower) electric motors—one drives the front wheels, and one drives the back wheels. The motors are powered by a 93.9 kWh lithium-ion high-voltage battery pack. When using a 350-kW DC fast charger, the battery will charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in around 28 minutes.
The 2024 Dodge Charger R/T generates up to 496 horsepower and 404 lb.-ft. of torque. The driving range is approximately 317 miles, and the top speed is 137 miles per hour. The Charger R/T can catapult from zero to sixty miles per hour in 4.7 seconds. It’ll complete a quarter mile in 13.4 seconds.
The Dodge Charger Scat Pack trim cranks out a max 670 horsepower and 627 lb.-ft. of torque. It will launch from zero to sixty in 3.3 seconds and will clear a quarter mile in 11.5 seconds. The driving range is about 260 miles. The top speed of the Scat Pack is 134 miles per hour. The available Track Package adds on wide and sticky Goodyear Eagle® F1 Supercar® 3 tires for even higher performance.
All Dodge Chargers have “Power Shot,” an over-boost function that gives the Charger 15 seconds of an extra 40 horsepower. Charger EVs are standard all-wheel drive, and drive modes include Sport, Track, and Drag.
