It’s hard to believe that it’s almost time for the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby, isn’t it? With the Kentucky Derby often being described as the most exciting two minutes in sports, it’s only fitting that the RAM brand has introduced a powerful, luxurious RAM truck to celebrate this year’s event – the 2019 RAM 1500 Kentucky Derby Edition.
Everyone at our Downey, CA RAM dealership is proud that the RAM brand is once again the Official Truck of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby this year. This is the ninth year the brand we represent has been part of the Run for the Roses in those capacities.

The RAM brand will only produce 2,000 RAM 1500 Kentucky Derby Edition trucks. When the vehicle is properly equipped, this mighty pickup can tow up to 12,750 pounds. Of course, the truck isn’t just powerful, it’s also great-looking. The 2019 RAM 1500 Kentucky Derby Edition will boast Kentucky Derby-themed graphics on its fender.
The truck has enviable features as well. The pickup’s list of standard features includes a 12-inch touchscreen, the latest Uconnect™ infotainment system, Sirius XM™ with navigation, power-retracting running boards, and a four-corner, load-leveling air suspension. The truck has a blind spot monitor that has automatic trailer detection as well.
