FCA USA LLC designers have had the special privilege of creating the latest vehicle to grace the virtual racetracks of Gran Turismo 6.The popular racing simulation series has always drawn the attention of automakers everywhere, but its latest iteration has played host to a number of amazing concept vehicles from the world’s top automakers. Drawing inspiration from the 2015 Chrysler 200 while also infusing a healthy amount of European-racing finesse, the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo is quite a vehicle to behold.
Even though it is just fictional, the experience was thrilling for FCA USA LLC employees to design: “It was very exciting around the studio,” Paul Hoste, a Jeep vehicle designer, said in an interview. “It was one of those projects where we all had to put in work on nights and weekends if we wanted to participate.” The result, he says, was “hundreds” of entries.
Hoste’s design immediately caught the eye of FCA USA LLC design chief Ralph Gilles and it was all forward momentum from there. “I think it was just an incredible opportunity to be creative, just do whatever you want and go nuts with creativity,” Hoste says. “It was basically limitless.”
