FCA USA LLC Plant Lauded by World Class Manufacturing

The FCA USA LLC Dundee engine plant is the first and only engine manufacturing plant to receive the “silver” status from World Class Manufacturing.

World Class Manufacturing is a methodology that focuses on reducing waste, increasing productivity, and improving safety standards. “Dundee Engine Plant employees were early adopters of the WCM methodology and their commitment to furthering its implementation now has resulted in a silver designation,” Brian Harlow, vice president of manufacturing for FCA USA LLC, said. “They clearly demonstrated a deeper understanding of the methodology and embraced the opportunity to showcase their significant progress during the audit.”

It’s because of the dedication of places like the Dundee engine plant that we’re able to help out so many customers with their needs for new Jeep models. The Dundee plant helps produce engines for models like the 2015 Jeep Cherokee and more. While employing over 700 workers, this unique engine plant is one of the most important parts of the FCA USA production process.
